Talented Friend: Kyle

Ideally everything in my house would be something I like to look at and means something to me. A gift from our friend Kyle fits the bill.

This is actually a picture Kyle took of Matt, overlayed with two different pictures taken at the same time. I was shocked when Kyle gave this to us. I had no idea he had such a strong sense of design.

To mount the photo Kyle used Plywerk, a service that prints your image on layered wood. Such a awesome texture.

Every time I look at this photo I'm reminded of two of my favorite guys, and that is worth a smile.

A Talented Friend: Lisa

My friend Lisa is a talented interior designer. So talented in fact her home was featured in the June issue of Country Living. It is so exciting to Lisa's work getting the national exposure it absolutely deserves.

I'm crazy about her design aesthetic and I'm dying to incorporate these colors into our place. And if you also covet all these gorgeous hues, you can have them!  Lisa recently launched her own paint line, Quiet Nursery.

You can see more of Lisa's work on CountryLiving.com and her blog.

Song of the Day
This song is a little more mellow than I usually play, but I thought it was perfect for today's post.  Please enjoy Cyndi Lauper's True Colors.
